What you will do:
You will be responsible for an end-to-end data analysis, work in complex data management projects, and dashboard development for various Operation teams & Digital transformation squads as an independent contributor.
As Senior Data Analyst, you will tap into relevant dataset and derive novel insight using a wide variety of quantitative methods, including advanced analytics. As needed, you will draw on the talents of our data scientist and qualitative research colleagues.
You will participate in brainstorming discussions with stakeholder’s or squad members to understand requirements, develop data pipelines, clean data, apply latest data analysis techniques & tools, interpret data, and present your findings/insights to our customers/stakeholders.
As part of the analysis, you will also design and develop dashboards/reports to monitor OKRs and KPIs, enhance dashboards to adopt business change and manage the dashboards to support Operations and squad work using tools like Tableau, PowerBI.
You will join our Chennai or Bengaluru office as a member of VG&M function which is part of McKinsey Global Services India Private Limited.
You will work with product managers, data engineers, architects, UX/UI designers, and various platform teams. You’ll be part of a team responsible for delivering data-enabled services/solutions to Operation teams and Digital Transformation Squads. You will be involved in all data-related activities from data tracking, data cleansing, data analysis, dashboard development, on-going maintenance and enhancement.

Your background:
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics or Statistics
4+ years of experience in data analysis and data visualization roles with hands-on experience in MS-Excel, Python, Jupyter, Tableau or PowerBI
Ability to use/extract large datasets from multiple databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL) using simple/complex SQL and NoSQL tools, data manipulation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime)
Experience with defining key objective questions and identifying the right high-level approach (e.g., quantitative, or qualitative) to answer stakeholders
Able to synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable insights and communicate them in a compelling, digestible way
Able to communicate and show the value of data-informed decision making, product design, and product management to a variety of stakeholders
Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and optimize products/services looking from a big-picture perspective
Strong collaboration – you partner well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
Able to navigate multiple stakeholder groups and influence others
Ability to handle medium to large data analytics projects independently
Experienced to manage multiple shorter deadline projects and work under high-pressure situations
Ability to coach and guide junior data analyst in the team
