How it works
From signup to your first shortlist — quickly.
Five stages. About ten minutes of setup. After that, Hiro does the rest.

Build your Work Slate
Upload your resume PDF and Slatebook parses it into structured profile sections — work experience, projects, skills, education. Edit anything, add the bits your resume didn't capture, verify your work email(s) so you show up as a real professional (and unlock referral capabilities at your current employer).
Brief Hiro
Open the Hiro page and write a short "prompt for Hiro" — what role you\rsquo;re targeting, industries, culture that fits, comp expectations, how you\rsquo;d like Hiro to communicate on your behalf, what not to share with recruiters. This is the one big instruction Hiro takes with it into everything it does.
Get personal updates from Hiro
Hiro sends you short, personal emails with hand-picked roles that fit your case — one-line reason for each, a positive angle, and an honest 'watch out'. Every pick has a CTA back to the role on Slatebook. If Hiro doesn't have strong picks that cycle, it stays silent rather than send a weak update.
Land the role
For any pick you want to pursue, get an Insight (what works, what's missing), have Hiro tailor your resume for that specific role, and — if there's a verified employee open to refer — reach out through the referral channel inside Slatebook. Chat, share your resume, accept an interview invite. Same platform, end to end.
Frequently asked
Common questions.
Do I need to pay to use Slatebook?+
No. Slatebook is free to sign up. When you complete your profile within your first week, the full Pro suite — Hiro, insights, tailored resumes — unlocks free for 3 months. Tier-1 alumni get another 3 months on top.
How long does it take to set up?+
About 10 minutes end-to-end. Import your resume as a PDF and Slatebook fills in most of your profile automatically. Add your job preferences, brief Hiro, and you're done.
What kind of roles are on Slatebook?+
Mid-to-senior professional roles across every function — PM, design, engineering, data, finance, sales, marketing, ops, legal, HR, business development. India-focused: Indian companies + Indian roles for global companies. Kept up to date from the actual company careers pages so you don't miss anything relevant.
How is Hiro different from LinkedIn's job recommendations?+
LinkedIn shows the same recommendations to everyone with a similar profile. Hiro is your own agent — it reads YOUR written brief, YOUR preferences, YOUR profile, and brings you a personal set of roles specifically for your case, with an honest reason for each pick.
Will recruiters spam me?+
No. Companies discover you through your Work Slate. They can only 'express interest' — the conversation opens only if you accept. No cold DMs, no inMails, no unwanted call requests.
What data do you share with recruiters?+
Whatever you've made public on your Work Slate — plus anything you actively share in a chat. We never share your salary, phone number, email, or date of birth without your explicit action.
