Salesforce Technical Consultants deliver solutions that transform our customers’ businesses and their customers’ experiences. In the Life Sciences vertical, this role involves partnering with project teams and client stakeholders to discover, design, code, and deploy specialized Salesforce Platform and Industry solutions (including Life Sciences Cloud and Health Cloud) tailored for pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare organizations.

Approximately 70–75% of this role involves hands-on programming and system integration using Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, and REST/SOAP APIs, while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards.

The ideal technical consultant is a demonstrated practitioner and emerging thought leader who bridges deep Salesforce development capabilities with domain understanding of regulated industries. You will evaluate implementation options, build scalable architectures, guide client technical teams, proactively manage risk areas, and commit to seeing complex engineering challenges through to resolution.

YOUR IMPACT: Responsibilities
• Hands-on Development & Customization: Code enterprise-grade solutions using Salesforce Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and modern web frameworks integrated with middleware and core Life Sciences backend systems.
• Domain & Regulatory Solutioning: Implement Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, and OmniStudio features that comply with strict industry regulatory and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, PHI).
• AI-First Workflow Execution: Champion an AI-first development workflow by leveraging advanced AI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate custom Apex, LWC, and integration delivery while maintaining platform governor limits and security compliance.
• Architecture & Data Modeling: Define and build secure, scalable data models (1:M, M:M relationships), sharing rules, security models, and object structures optimized for Life Sciences and Healthcare workflows.
• Integrations & Interoperability: Build, optimize, and document API-based integrations connecting Salesforce to enterprise platforms, EHR/EMR systems, and middleware standard tools (utilizing HL7/FHIR standards where applicable).
• Technical Leadership & Workshops: Facilitate functional and technical workshops, review user stories, map end-to-end user journeys, and apply modern Apex and UI design patterns to solve complex business requirements.
• Delivery & Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce Services development best practices, participate in DevOps/release management workflows, and drive high Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
• Travel: Travel to client sites as required by engagement scope (average of 50%, varying based on project needs).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent.
• 5+ years of technology development experience, with 3+ years in client-facing consulting or system implementation roles.
• Strong object-oriented programming experience (Apex, Java, C#, or Python) alongside fluent JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and web component engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience designing data models, custom logic, and platform integrations on the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Foundational domain awareness of Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, or Healthcare Providers, including exposure to compliance constraints (HIPAA, GxP, PHI).
• Experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and system security protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex requirements, design adaptable technical solutions, and work independently as a self-starter.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with client facilitation experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Salesforce Product Expertise: Prior development experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, OmniStudio framework, or Veeva CRM.
• Healthcare Interoperability: Experience with healthcare data standards and protocols such as HL7 and FHIR.
• Certifications: Highly beneficial to hold existing Salesforce certifications upon joining. Success in this role includes acquiring core certifications within the onboarding phase:
◦ Salesforce Certified Administrator
◦ Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
◦ Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
◦ Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I
◦ Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited / OmniStudio Developer (Bonus)
• DevOps & Integration Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), automated testing frameworks, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft).
• AI Tooling Fluency: Practical experience using AI coding assistants to optimize daily development velocity, document custom code, and automate repetitive engineering tasks.

ATTRIBUTES
• Consultative Leader: Ability to clearly communicate the business and technical value of Salesforce platform features to both business stakeholders and client engineering teams.
• Results-Driven: Tenacious and focused on delivering high-quality, maintainable code in fast-paced environments.
• Adaptable Learner: Quick to master emerging platform updates, regulatory guidelines, and AI development techniques.
