Work
you’ll do
The Engagement Manager will provide M&A accounting and reporting consulting, leading end-to-end projects and managing a team of Senior Consultants and Consultants. In this role, the Engagement Manager serves as a trusted advisor on technically demanding accounting matters across the deal lifecycle, driving high-quality outcomes for clients navigating complex transactions.
Technical Responsibilities

Prepare and review carve-out financial statements, opening balance sheets for acquisitions, and SEC registration statements (including Form S-1), ensuring compliance with US GAAP or IFRS and applicable SEC reporting requirements
·
Draft accounting policies, disclosure documentation, and technical position papers
·
Lead US GAAP to IFRS conversions (and vice versa), including identification of accounting gaps and quantification assessments
·
Prepare and review pro forma financial statements and deal-related financial information
·
Conduct and oversee technical accounting research and analysis, including peer group benchmarking
·
Perform discontinued operations analysis and prepare related disclosures for divestiture transactions
·
Review draft financial statements for consistency, accuracy, and compliance
Leadership & Managerial Responsibilities
·
Engagement Leadership:
Owns end-to-end engagement delivery, including stakeholder relationship management, workstream resource planning and allocation, resolution of complex technical accounting issues, and accountability for on-time, high-quality outcomes
·
Stakeholder Management:
Serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and maintaining alignment on deliverables, milestones, and timelines

Business Development:
Contributes to proposal development, thought leadership content, and go-to-market initiatives within the M&A advisory practice
·
Team Development:
Mentors and develops Senior Consultants and Consultants, providing coaching, performance feedback, and opportunities for professional growth
People & Practice Development
·
Mentor, coach and develop senior consultants and consultants, providing ongoing feedback and supporting their career progression
·
Actively participate in performance evaluation processes
·
Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and campus or experienced hire initiatives
·
Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, training programs and capability building within the M&A practice
The team
Mergers & Acquisitions AR&I Services team provides financial reporting and integration assistance on transactions that encompasses various services required to enable the Buyer or Seller to prepare US GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable) compliant financial statements and disclosures and issuance of SEC compliant reports for public filers (e.g. Form 10, Form S- 1, etc.)
Required:
·
CA/CPA/ACCA with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting services, financial analysis and interpretation, preferably with experience of working in M&A transactions
·
Proven ability to manage client relationships independently and navigate complex stakeholder environments
·
Ability to read, interpret and review financial statements, and oversee data analysis performed by the team
·
Strong ability to research, read and interpret accounting guidance (US GAAP and IFRS), SEC regulations, with the ability to translate technical guidance into practical client solutions
·
Strong eye for detail, advanced understanding of accounting concepts and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
·
Experience in managing project economics including budgeting, billing, and resource forecasting
·
Expert knowledge of MS Excel (with advanced knowledge of charts/graphs/pivot table)’ proficiency in financial reporting tools is a plus
Strong leadership, coaching, counselling and people management skills with demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams
