What you will do:
You will leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts to efficiently respond to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our client service teams.
As an Analyst, you will work with client service teams and fellow analysts to understand, disaggregate, and prioritize their information needs. You will help the McKinsey client service teams determine the most appropriate solution to the issues they are working on, delivering cutting-edge insights and expertise, deploying existing capabilities and incubating new solutions.
Your day-to-day tasks will include identifying the key issues for the problem at hand and determining the most appropriate solution while effectively balancing quality, availability, timeliness, and cost factors.
You will perform a variety of analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections, opportunity scanning, etc., in order to add value to problem-solving discussions, and you will provide synthesis, insight and client implications within tight deadlines via end products in the form of PowerPoint charts, written memos, models and framework. In time, you will also participate in, and eventually lead, internal knowledge development and capability-building initiatives for the team.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within the Client Capability Centers globally on larger client projects and internal knowledge initiatives.
You are likely to also coach and nurture junior colleagues to enable them to deliver distinctive client impact and work on day-to-day team operations.
You will work in our Chennai Client Capability Center, as a part of the Geographic Research Team.
You will be a part of our Global Client Capability Network (CCN), which includes more than 7,500 Client Capability professionals who work alongside our client service teams and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You will also help develop, codify, sanitize, and manage some of our global assets/capabilities, as well as our global knowledge portal, which includes more than 50,000 documents that form the backbone of our firm's knowledge management.

Your background:
Graduate degree from top tier colleges; Post-graduate or advanced degree in a related field, typically Economics, Business or MBA; 2+ years of work experience (relevant work experience is a plus)
