Description
The PMO is a supporting part of the global Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) teams. These BPR teams are the project and business change management function within Apple Sales and Operations.

Imagine what you could do here! At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish.

You will play a meaningful role within the Project Management Office (PMO) supporting all of Apple's Operations and Sales project teams. In this role you will work across a range of capacities — from shaping strategic planning, through portfolio management and governance, down to supporting individual project requests. You will also play a key role in the delivery of high-profile programs that cut across the normal structure of the project delivery organization.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who brings structure to ambiguity, sets the standard rather than follows it, and can step into a critical delivery seat when a program demands it.
Responsibilities
Standards and tooling — setting the standards and tools by which BPR completes its work.
Strategic alignment — driving multi-year road-mapping and leading the annual capital planning process for Sales and Operations.
Portfolio execution — owning reporting, cross-portfolio impact assessment, and organizational development for the BPR teams.
Management system — running the operating cadence the BPR teams use to stay aligned and communicate internally.
Program management — acting as the program management function for key cross-functional initiatives within Sales and Operations.
Own ongoing portfolio management processes, including recurring portfolio reporting and the escalation of critical issues and exceptions to the right decision-makers.
Continuously mature and hone the tools, methods, and techniques the PMO makes available to the BPR teams.
Plan, schedule, and execute organizational development activities such as training programs, new-joiner inductions, workshops, and team meetings.
Support the annual capital planning cycle, including business case review, PR/PO creation, and tracking of approved spend against plan.
Partner closely with the IS&T PMO and adjacent delivery organizations to align governance, intake, and reporting across shared programs.
Maintain data hygiene and integrity across portfolio systems of record, so reporting and decisions rest on trustworthy data.
Step into a critical program delivery role under pressure for short windows of time to assure the delivery of highly visible cross-functional programs.
Minimum Qualifications
4 to 8 years of experience in project management, program management, and portfolio planning and delivery — to the level of setting standards, proposing policy, and coaching others.
Deep understanding of the end-to-end business processes of a manufacturing business, from sales through the supply chain.
Proven ability to bring structure to your own work and to the work of others.
Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation.
Solid track record of personally delivering large-scale initiatives under pressure, with high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to partner credibly with Finance on capital planning, budgets, and spend governance.
Expertise in building and automating portfolio reporting that gives leadership an objective view of program health.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field required.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree preferred.
Background in Finance or a finance-adjacent discipline, with hands-on exposure to capital planning, budget management, and procurement processes (PR/PO lifecycle).
Advanced proficiency in reporting and analytics tooling, with the ability to design dashboards and metrics from the ground up.
Prior consulting experience with Big 4 consulting firms is desirable, but not required.
Flexibility to partner with teams across multiple time zones, including occasional early or late calls during critical program phases.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as program needs require.
