What you will do:
You will play a lead role on the squad in setting a shared vision, understanding value, and prioritizing work to build our data products on the cloud. You will be part of the team crafting a data strategy with input from various business owners. You will be responsible for the building overall execution plan, prioritizing of deliverables linked to business value. You will be responsible for managing the roadmap, backlog and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
You will need to engage with multiple stakeholders and enable data-informed decision making at all levels of the organization. In most cases, this will include raising awareness of data assets, making data more accessible and managing a data governance process for the function.
You will develop a deep understanding of the problem you are solving, the users and the solution space. You will balance the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related, and facilitate the conversations between all impacted stakeholders who consume data (executives, engineers, analysts, and product teams). You will also partner with the firm’s information security to establish a secure-by-design cloud ecosystem, ensuring compliance with privacy, regulatory, and data residency requirements.
You will be based in our Bengaluru or Chennai office as part of our Visual Graphics & Media (VG&M) team. As a core member of product management function, focusing on building data products, you will work with business and technology hubs teams spread across the globe.
You will work with the internal business and analytics teams to build a product vision and deliver on it in an agile way. Our product managers work closely in squads alongside experts in various disciplines - designers, engineers, more - and together the squad relentlessly strives to deliver outcomes that matter. You and your squad will work together to discover opportunities, experiment, innovate, and deliver solutions using a mix of methodologies including design thinking, lean, and agile.

Your background:
5+ years’ experience building and shipping technical, non-consumer-facing, products; delivering with large scale data sets and/or cloud products
Expert at leading delivery with high-performing teams, including engineers, designers, and data analysts
Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to navigate ambiguity, while keeping a focus on strategic outcomes; ability to ‘put things into perspective’ for team and stakeholders
Ability to establish trust-based relationships with senior McKinsey leaders, and thought partner with business teams
Influencing skills that drive alignment with a breadth of stakeholders in a non-hierarchical environment
Proficiency in data analytics tools, methodologies, and techniques; knowledge of data modeling, data visualization, machine learning, and statistical analysis is beneficial
Skilled at leading divergent problem-solving sessions enabling healthy debate between diverse views, but then bringing the thinking together on priorities and path forward
Mastery of wide range of product management and design thinking techniques and tools such as customer journey maps, service blueprints, vision workshops, roadmaps, story maps
Growth mindset, always looking to improve self, work of the squad and adapt to the culture of the organization
Communication skills (written and verbal) that reflect structured, clear, and objective thinking
Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences to enable business outcomes through technology
Experience with large data sets, data security and integration services, public cloud products, hybrid and cloud-native architectures, server less frameworks, Docker/Kubernetes a plus
