About the job:
Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for specific areas of vertical performance and extended workforce operations, including quality. Research and stay up-to-date on key trends and suspicious patterns of abuse across the team’s policy areas.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of how our YPP policies impact YouTube users, platform changes and new product launches.
Liaise with policy, Public Relations, Legal and Partnerships teams to craft and implement process solutions to emerging threats and improve Creator education.
Generate ideas for policy changes to improve quality and reduce operational burden. Manage and shape relationships with Product and Engineering teams to increase detection, sophistication, and enforcement efficiency.
Manage sensitive escalations end-to-end, partnering with key cross functional and executive stakeholders to drive solutions. Prepare presentations and clearly communicate initiatives to management and to the broader organization.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience in operations such as in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
2 years of experience with data analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
Experience with identifying abuse trends or working in policy.
Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
Ability to use data to drive strategy and business action.
Strong problem solving skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action.
