Responsibilities:
Engineering Lead for the YouTube Commerce Applied benefits and tooling organization, responsible for the strategy, organizational health, and technical excellence of these critical domain areas in YouTube’s Commerce Platform.
Lead applied benefits in delivering on the functional and scaling requirements to power paid product teams’ use of benefits to drive acquisition.
Managing large-scale, business-critical projects; aligning teams with organizational OKRs; and scaling high-performing, resilient organizations.
Serving as a technical authority, fostering AI/ML usage for developer productivity and innovation, and ensuring sustainable, quality-driven delivery.
Mentoring senior ICs and EMs, managing complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships, and stewarding a high-impact, collaborative culture.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience with systems engineering practices, including incident response, monitoring, service-level objectives, and change management.
Experience in B2B or e-commerce software.
