Job Purpose
To carry out and monitor all Fire and Security Operations related activities, Co-ordination with External and Internal customer as well Govt. Authorities, Safety of personnel, Cargo and environment and security at highest level at all the time for Improvement of Fire and security system of the unit.
Job Context & Major Challenges
Major Challenges :
1. Ensure all the fire equipement up to date and make ready with all respect condition at SCW.
2. Maintain mentainance record of all fire equipments as per the standard.
3. Provide fire and safety standard training to all O&S and contractual workmen’s.
4. Qualified fire Manpower, Equipment Maintance, Inventory Management
Key Result Areas
KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) | Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1 | Laison | • Coordinate with surrounding industries during emergencies. • Maintain relation with localites to provide fire services during emergencies. • Maintain rapport with local fire authorities.
KRA2 | Training & Knowledge Sharing: Providing training on fire Standards & fighting techquines. | • Ensure 100% coverage of concerned employess and contractual labour on fire standards and fire fighting techniques. • Knowledge sharing regarding fire fighting equipments and techniques in GRT meetings.
KRA3 | Legal Compliances | • Ensure 100% legal compliance with relation to fire standard and state govt. complainces.
KRA4 | Ensure maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and operate during emergencies within short notice. | • Scheduled check up of Systems/equipments. • Training the staff and workmen in Fire-fighting. • Maintaining all equipments to required levels. • Coordinate with Govt. agencies & other units to arrange additional resources. • Timely replacement/refilling of portable fire extinguishers in various Departments.
KRA5 | Fire Fighting of Plant, Township, Mines and Surrounding vicinity | Practice fire fighting drills through regular exercises, mock drills, wet drills and train security staff in their actions as part of the Unit Disaster Management Plan. Also ensure maintenance of Fire Fighting equipment and it’s timely demonstration to prevent/ minimize losses due to fire.
